I'm still throwing ideas around, but I'm leaning towards a human/half elf (undecided) ranger. He'll be proficient in the longbow and carry a longsword on his belt. He'll be kind of a Legolas character.
I don't know about his demeanor, though. I've had some ideas where he'll be young, brash and adventurous. But I like the idea of him being a veteran, reserved and ultimately lethal, but he only acts when it's necessary.
I just don't know yet.

Sounds cool, LS. I have a pretty good idea for mine, so here it is:
An average person lives life normally until he gets bitten by a vampire. He slowly changes, succumbing to the thirst for blood, and getting noticeably paler as the days go on. All in all he gives into the vampirism, and becomes a creature of evil.
Well, that's just a little idea I had, and like I said before, I'll try to flesh it out. Also, let me know if you have any "world ideas". If you want, we could do simple one. But if you can't think of anything in regards to that, I'll think of one.

lol
I was thinking about being a vampire for a while.
But this could lead into our characters being opposed to each other. I just now thought of this.
A vampire and a ranger. The vampire is obviously going to be out doing his own thing, stalking the night/biting necks/terrorizing villages ect...
The vampire comes to a village that has this ranger protecting it. It comes out that the ranger possesses royal blood, which then make the vampire crave the ranger's blood more and more because he may need it for something (alchemic reasons?) or maybe it would give him more powers by consuming the royal blood.
What do you think?

Sounds cool, we'll put a little more meat on its bones (along with my character), but a cool idea.
<----any idea why there's all this extra space?---->

Of course there'd be more meat on the bones, as for that, I'm not sure what to do with it. But I think we should be a little careful of mapping the entire story out, otherwise it would take away the whole allure of Yore. That was spontaneous ideas coming forth with new posts from different members and whatnot. If we script the entire thing out, then what would be the point of writing anyways? We'll figure something out. I'll try posting soon, but I'm having troubles getting it started.

I totally agree, man. Yore would have turned out completely different if we mapped it out. As for the world this thing will be set in, I have an idea. Why don't we just create it as we go along, all we'd have to do would be to make sure the continuity is in order. So if you like this idea, we'll just wing the setting and see how it turns out. I'll try and post soon, as well.

Yeah, let's invite them.
As for people that I know, I don't really know anybody who's into this sort of stuff.
But yeah, our friends at the alehouse, let's give 'em an invite.

I had an idea for a character i wanted to play in pnp that never got past the first session Anyway she starts off as a paladin (i know i never play pally's but bare with me ) who discovers she also has the powers of a sorcerer, now the kicker is she grew up in a place where it believed that such powers come from dark sources (was demons but can easily be anything) and she lets that belief (and her own close-mindedness) sway her from the path. And then basically the story was about her discovering stuff about her and life and people what do you guys think of me giving her a bit of a shot? in the story?

Sure, sounds like a cool idea. It might work very well with the personalities of our two characters. If you'd like, go ahead and post, I'm sure we'd be able to fit everything in. Also, check out the 'Possible World' topic, I think we're going to have it set in that world. I only think we're using the map, though, and not the lore and stuff.

Yeah, I think Swords is right.
The map is our geographical setting.
Everything else is fair game. Gods, religion, beasts, magic, town layouts, governments, weapons, monsters, orders, names, EVERYTHING is open to our creativity.

Yeah it was the good vs evil of the 2 characters that reminded me of her own internal struggle and i could see so many directions it could go, but that too is part of yore's appeal seeing just which the arc swings when several minds are all unfolding the one story I do have a small problem: with you both using swords i'm a little wary of giving her one aswell, though i can't really think of anything else that quites fits her, and now that ive mentioned the thinblade i think it would be a perfect fit, much better then the longsword i originally had her with
