Well Jackie has snapped out of her brooding for now, I've never liked the really judgemental type paladins so she's a little more introverted then most pallies, particularly for a noble and she's quietly overcritical especially in regards to herself so after difficult decisions and violent combat shes going to be a little quiet this is also i good way for me to show her fall from grace as the story progresses But i was far too slow in bringing her in and now im wondering just how to get her closer to Sirion? If you are going to make a fairly involved combat scene with the awesome beasties she can go to lend a hand Otherwise i can go all diplomatic after he returns ^^ Now as for the Direls, can you tell me more about them, I wouldn't mind actually stating them up and how would you like me to credit your creation?

I don't have many facts about them, but here's some basic things, I guess: -They're about as smart as a bear would be, not as smat as a leech. -If fighting, they sometimes lunge at the person like a leech would, to suck the blood. Mainly, though, they try and maul with their "paws". -Unlike bears, they're not that fast in terms of running. Other than that, I don't have much else planned out. As for crediting them to me, just tell the players that a friend of yours made it up, or something like that.

Maybe you could provide a picture, because a bear and a leech are two, mightily different animals! Do they have fur? A bear's head? Gnashing teeth of a carnivore (I could assume so...)? ect... lol

Gnashing teeth of a carnivore (I could assume so...)? ect... lol No fur, the normal wet skin of the leech. A leech head, and gnashing teeth, though they still suck blood. I can't make a picture since I thought it up on my own, and I'm a bad artist. I'll list some details later.

well i was thinking since they have bear limbs and the bite of a leech and since they so large they'd try to 'Bear hug' hold the person in the spot and suck there blood. So as far as combat in dnd would go it would initiate a grapple, use its bite which would start its blood drain doing something like 1d6+1 con damage per round the victim fails to break the grapple (and as a large creature with a bears strength it won't be easy ) If you like the mauling idea then you can give it a rend attack doing massive damage with a claw attack in a round after a successful grapple. And now for the reason i think the creature is so awesome: Make it a magical beast and it would be a great animal companion for an evil druid ^.^ with awaken and greater magical fang and improved natural attack its going to be an absolute monster in melee.

Right on Swords.
Well Lat. The next post is on you. I may or may not be able to post tomorrow, so we'll see. The fight is in your guy's capable hands.
Also, I'm starting to have computer troubles. I turned it on today, and pop ups galore started appearing even though I'm not on the internet. I might have to go in a have it checked out. Maybe tomorrow, but we'll see. If I do have to turn it in to the computer lady, I'll stop by my mother's and continue the posting.
Let's go Lat!

Well guys. I'm back in business now.
Sort of...
I still get pop ups, but not as bad as they were a couple of days ago. Uploaded a couple programs that should help. We'll see.
I'll post probably tomorrow night, as I am so sick of this computer right now I could throw it out the window!
So I'll calm down and thing about where I need to take this story.
Swords, you go ahead and post first.

Yeah, unfortunately, one of the programs I had to delete was MSN Messenger. And after the last fiasco that I had with it (that's what brought this whole headache upon me!!) I'm a little leery about doing it again.
Maybe sometime in the future. We'll see.
